Here we are in this weekend's edition of the Irish Times!
Our project is only possible because of the diligent efforts of the crew behind the Spirit of Oysterhaven, who had faith in us from the outset and enabled us to run our project on board. The infrastructure for voyages like these is something that took years and years of hard graft to put in place and we are very grateful to them for all the hard work they do, week in and week out, all year long!
This particular voyage was funded by EMC and Port of Cork and arranged by our national umbrella body, Sail Training Ireland, who kindly asked us to nominate trainees to take part. It is lovely to work in a sector where everyone pulls together to get more children and young people sailing. We are the wind behind each other's wings (sails)!
